China vs The US: The Battle for Oil

This is a quite interesting documentary directed by Jean-Christophe Klotz about how the current two world superpowers, US and China, and their economic futures are very much tied to their ability to import foreign oil into their respective countries. The US and Europe historically has had a stranglehold on it’s position to influence oil negotiations which is currently being undermined by the very business like China who is more than prepared deal with and look away with countries with questionable governing practices (although the ethics of Europe and US involvement is as equally questionable).

When oil supplies tighten it will likely have huge geopolitical ramifications as competition intensifies. Very much worth a watch if you want a basic understanding of the factors at play.
